Reeves, a brief history:
Sensei Mike Reeves began his karate training
at age 13 in Lebanon, PA under Sensei John Devine (currently
8th degree black belt). Sensei Reeves has trained with such
notables as: Joe Lewis, Mike Stone, Bill Wallace, and Don
"the Dragon" Wilson. In 1995, Sensei Reeves traveled
to Okinawa to train with Grand Master Angi Uezue (the leading
authority on Isshinryu world-wide). While still in Pennsylvania,
Sensei Reeves used his training experience as a corrections
officer in the Lebanon County Prison. His martial arts expertise
and training also led him into a career as a sought-after
body guard for celebrities such as: Garth Brooks, Lee Greenwood
and Kathy Mattea. Sensei Reeves has owned, operated and been
chief karate instructor for 5 schools and is currently the
owner of Powerhouse Gym in Orlando, FL. His "Powerhouse
Karate Team" is part of the gym in which he continues
to run a successful martial arts school for children and adults.
While pursuing various opportunities, Sensei Reeves has never
abandoned his quest and passion to train hard and become a
world-class martial artist and athlete. |
