Shooting Wraps on Latest Training Video
Sensei Reeves and Bob Yetman just finished shooting what will be their latest offering from Paladin Press.  The video, tentatively entitled Thunderstrikes, is a no-nonsense, how-to manual on developing deadly proficiency in a variety of empty hand strike techniques.  Paladin called on Mike and his near-forty years of old-school striking experience to deliver the kind of instruction that will be of great assistance to cage fighters and self defense practitioners alike.  The boys were excited to welcome back the Paladin crew for another great shoot, and look forward to the DVD's release late in 2009.  Mike and Paladin are already back in talks to develop several more projects over the next couple of years, and both parties are excited about Mike's continued contributions to the storied "Action Library" of Paladin Press.

Sensei Reeves Conquers the Disney Marathon
Sensei Reeves continued to perpetuate his "ironman" legend as he successfully completed his first marathon.  On the morning of January 11, Sensei took the line with thousands of others to compete in the 2009 edition of the annual Walt Disney World Marathon in Orlando, Florida, and we are happy to say he did just fine.  Mike, while an avid runner for the purposes of his combat conditioning, admits that he's hardly a natural distance runner, and thus found himself relying on some of his iron will to tough out the event in the closing miles.  That said, he was back teaching and training hard the very next day; for those who know Mike the best, we wouldn't expect anything else from him.  Sensei Reeves is already looking for his next extra-martial arts challenge, and is now pondering a triathlon as a followup.
